My most personal work to date.
As the title of the series suggests, the body of work is influenced from law, tax law to be specific, US tax law if we wish to delve deeper. Upon leaving the profession to paint-full time it now seemed appropriate to reflect upon those years. Many of the works are private puns of the many fascinating characters one encounters as an us tax consultant. The red dress and red accessories are an example of such a pun. Other pieces follow in the tradition of my earlier work concerned with colour, design and composition found in the ordinary and everyday.
The technique is somewhat a progression from the methods discovered and employed in my previous wall study series. Many layers built upon each other, numerous materials with many foreign to the traditional palette.
